What does success look like to you?
How do you make the right decisions?
Can you ask that important question?
How do you get there?
How do you know when you've arrived?
Coaching is about your life, how you choose to live it and what you can learn from every experience.
My role is to be your coach as you learn. If you are dedicated to making change in your life, I am the person who will help you get there.
Our life experiences make us who we are. What matters is how we move forward.
Prior to becoming an executive coach, I held senior management positions. These roles sought to protect people, ensuring the care and protection of society’s most vulnerable people. I aspire in each coaching session to ensure that every client feels safe and has tangible, real evidence of the change and success they are looking for.
In the last 50 years I have personally faced challenges that have made me who I am today.
I believe that we are, who we chose to believe we are. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy.
My own life journey taught me some harsh realities about fitting in, being ‘good enough’ and having self value. At the age of 10, I was classified as educationally ‘subnormal’. Rejected by the state education system, and bullied by my peers - I was looking at a very different life.
Then in 1975, at the age of 14, I was the first person in the UK to be assessed as dyslexic.
My negative beliefs continued to have a profound effect on my life, so I sought change and hit a major discovery:
I am, who I choose to believe I am.
The key thing I learnt was the fundamental power of both my Beliefs and Values.
This gave me the strength and fortitude to face major life challenges. I was able to make effective positive change in my life and in the lives of those around me. Professionally, I became a values based leader.
This led to whistleblowing on government institutions twice which resulted in significant change for the protection of vulnerable people in the UK.
What I see as my life purpose is to share what I know and what my clients have taught me.
Happily married for over 30 years and with three adult children, I have lived through some hideous experiences: some life threatening, some emotional and physically battering.
My journey includes the experience of miscarriage and premature death, redundancy and burnout, immigration and cultural alienation. I was told I had cancer five days before emigrating to the other side of the world with three young kids. Most recently I have undergone bariatric surgery for health reasons, and that too continues to be a fascinating and challenging journey.
I do not stand before you as somebody who has got it all right, I’m offering to share my learning openly and honestly.
We create our own lives.
Who would have thought the little girl who couldn’t read or write has a professional CV that includes hosting two primetime TV shows and a radio talkback show and working as an executive coach and keynote speaker all over the world. I also hold several board positions for both corporate and community organisations.
I’m very grateful that I have the opportunity to share my learning about beliefs and values.
We all lead our own lives. We all create our own lives...
What I’m asking, is for you to take a LEADERSHIP role in your own life!
